Online Gorging—The Hunger of Finding “The One”

Online interactions.
An empty flash of
Zig zagged nothing
Leading nowhere.

Gorged rabbit holed conversation
Soured into cold droppings
Of hardened leftovers
Sitting in social containers
Of new beginnings,
Now rotting,
You’d rather not reexamine.

There’s real life artistry
In brush strokes of intent
And then there’s
Cardboard carnival colors
People use to
Garishly slap on to
Plastic merry go round horses
To represent themselves to others
To move along a slated track
In circles, over and over again.

All the time
Every time.
